FROM THE EARLY `90s THE CAR HAS BEEN SEEN IN THE HISTORICAL EVENTS PAINTED IN GREEN WITH WHITE STRIPES, IN THE SAME PAINT SCHEME AS THE SALZBURG CARS FROM 1970.

NOTE:

SOMETIME BETWEEN MAY AND JULY 1970 THE BODY OF THE CAR WAS MODIFIED. THE LITTLE OPENING IN THE FRONT NOSE THAT ALL THE 917s HAD WAS ELIMINATED, SO THE FRONT NOSE BECAME ONE SOLID PIECE. THE CAR REMAINS IN THIS CONFIGURATION.

DURING THE EARLY `70s THE CAR ALSO HAD A POLISHED ALUMINIUM STRIPE AROUND THE WINDSCREEN INTO THE SIDE PANELS. IN SOME RACES IN THE FIRST `70s THE CAR ALSO HAD THE RISED BACK PANEL (GULF SPA 1970 STYLE)
